MG University Distance Education Admission 2026
The CODE of Mahatma Gandhi University will soon start accepting application forms of eligible students for the January session 2026. The last date to apply for admission will be 30 April 2026*. Students can apply for UG programs like BCOM, BBA and Political Science and PG courses like MCOM, MBA, MA in English and Economics. All the degree programs in distance mode are equivalent to regular degrees. Students can pursue 2 degrees simultaneously. Admission to any UG/PG program will require students to hold basic eligibility. Which include a +2 qualification with at least 45% mark and a bachelor’s degree with not less than 50% mark respectively.
MG University provides 3% to 5% mark relaxation to Kerala SEBC/OEC Category. Interested applicants have to register online only with a non-refundable fee of INR 1000/- (INR 500/- for SC/ST category). Students need not submit hard copies of the application form and document to the unristy and all the coemmunictaion will be via registered email and LMS.

MG University Distance Education UG Admission
Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Centre for Distance and Online Education will soon start the application process for UG Degree courses for the academic session 2026. Programs include BCOM(H), BBA (H) and BA Political Science (H). The duration of the course is 4 years with 8 semesters. However if a student is unable to complete the course within the given duration, the student is expected to complete the course within 7 years from the date of admission.
To be eligible, students have to pass the +2 or equivalent examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto. Applicants must score at least 45% mark in the qualifying examination. Admission will be solely merit based as MG University does not conduct any entrance examinations. The UG course fee per semester will range around INR 10,000/- to INR 15,000/- and the total fee will vary between INR 80,000/- to INR 1,20,000/-. There is no particular age limit for admission to any UG program.
MG University Distance Education PG Course Admission
Online registration for the PG Program at MGU, Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) will open soon for the academic session 2026. Students can apply for distance learning courses like MCOM, MBA, MA English and Economics at PG level. The minimum duration to complete the course is 2 years with 4 semesters and maximum is 4 years with 8 semesters. Eligibility criteria include applicants to hold a 3 year bachelor’s degree form a UGC approved university with minimum 50% mark (45% for SC/ST category) in any discipline.
The course fee is around INR 18,000/- to INR 25,000/- per semester. The total fee will range between INR 72,000/- to INR 1,00,000/-. MG University Distance Education does not hold entrance exams as admission to all PG programmes is merit based. Also, there is no maximum age limit for admission.
Eligibility Criteria for MG University Distance Education Admission
To get admission to MG University Distance Education, applicants need to have the following qualifications:
- For UG Program: Pass higher secondary or equivalent examination in any stream with minimum 45% mark from any board recognized by the university.
- For PG Program: Must have a bachelor degree in any related field with minimum 50% mark (45% for SC/ST category) from a UGC approved university.
- Marks Relaxations: A relaxation of 3% marks for Kerala SEBC Category and A relaxation of 5% marks for Kerala OEC Category.
