Alagappa University Distance Education: The centre of distance and online education of Alagappa University is accepting online applications for the academic session 2026. Students applying to UG/Diploma/Certificate courses have to pay an application fee of INR 118/-, and for PG courses, INR 354/-. Registrations are open for 6 UG, 17 PG, 4 Diploma and 8 Certificate courses in ODL mode. Alagappa University Distance Education Admission 2026
ALU-CDOE is conducting online registration through the university web portal. Admissions are currently ongoing for the January 2026 session for all the ODL programs at UG, PG, Diploma and Certificate level. Students can seek direct admission through the university Head Quarters or through authorized Learner Support Centre (LSC). The registration fee is 354/- for PG programs and INR 118/- for UG, Diploma and Certificate Courses (including 18% GST).
Students will receive their self learning materials and PCP, depending on the mode of admission. During the admission process, students have to submit the duly-filled application form, demand draft and self-attested copies of the original certificates to the university or respective LSC. After the verification of all the documents, students will receive their enrollment number and identity card.

Alagappa University Distance Education UG Course Admission
For the current academic year 2026, ALU-CDOE is offering undergraduate degree courses like B.A. Tamil & English, B.Sc. Mathematics & Computer Science, B.B.A and B.Com. All these courses are available in open and distance learning (ODL) in English and Hindi medium. UG programs are offered in a semester pattern for the course length of 3 years, with a total of 6 semesters. To be eligible for any bachelor degree course, applicants must have passed their HSC examination (or) have a 3 year Diploma (or) I.T.I (2 Years Programme).
Selection will be merit based as ALU-CDOE does not conduct entrance exams for any course. The course fee will range from INR 3500/- to INR 11700/-. There is no lower age limit for any program, so individuals with basic eligibility can apply for admission.
Alagappa University Distance Education PG Admission
For the current January session 2026, ALU-CDOE is offering admission to PG courses available in ODL mode. Students can apply to any Master’s degree courses like M.Lib.I.Sc, MBA, MCOM, MSW, MCA, MA in Tamil, English, Economics and MSc in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Information Technology. These courses are provided for a course period of 2 years with 4 semesters. All PG courses are UGC-DEB-entitled and are offered in Hindi, Tamil and English medium, except for language courses.
To become eligible, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in any related field with a minimum 50% mark (45% for the reserved category) from a recognised university. The course fee of all the PG programs will range between INR 7000/- to INR 28,000/-. There is no entrance exam, so the selection of the applicants will be merit-based. Also, there is no maximum age limit for any program.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission
Students applying for any ODL program at ALU-CDOE must ensure to hold basic eligibility criteria required for the desired course. Such as:
- For UG Program: Applicants must be 10+2 passed or have a 3 Year Diploma or a 2 Year I.T.I in any discipline.
- For PG Program: A 3 year bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a UGC approved university.
- For Diploma/Certificate Course: Must have either 10+2 or 10+3 qualifications in any field.
- Language: Students must have proficiency in either English and Tamil.
- Age Limit: there is no age registration for any UG or PG course.
Alagappa University Distance Education Admission Process
ALU-CDOE conducts an online registration process for all the open and distance learning (ODL courses. Students have to create their ABC ID and DEB ID before initiating the registration process. Applicants seek admission directly through the University (Head Quarters) or via Learner Support Centres (LSCs). Submission of the application form undergoes the following steps:
Step 1: Visit the ALU-CDOE official website.
Step 2: Register and login with the credentials.
Step 3: Enter all the educational and personal details carefully.
Step 4: Attach mentioned documents along with the online application form.
