NBU Distance Education: University of North Bengal, Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) has started its admission from 14 January 2026, for all its ODL programs. Admissions will continue until 31 March 2026, and Eligible candidates are advised to apply before the deadline. The university offers undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs through its CDOE. Students who have cleared their 12th grade can pursue a UG program, and those who have passed their graduation can join the MA programs.

While admission gets done on the basis of academic performance, so eligible students can seek admission directly without any entry test. Since the admission window is currently open, interested students must apply through the official site by paying INR 100 as a registration fee. NBU Distance Education Admission 2026

North Bengal University (NBU) has started the admission process for its distance program from 14 January 2026 through the Centre for Distance and Online Education. NBU CDOE will close the admission on 31 March 2026, so those who are going to take admission must apply before the last date. It provides 7 Master’s degree specialisations, including History, Mathematics, English, Bengali, Philosophy, Nepali, Political Science and B.Com at the  UG level.

It is advisable to complete the application process before the due date. Submit your documents and enter the required details at the official portal to register yourself. Students also have to pay INR 100 as the applicable registration fee, which is non- refundable. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic marks. They do not need to be qualified for any admission test.

NBU Distance Education UG Admission 2026 

University of North Bengal, Centre for Distance & Online Education currently accepting applications for its undergraduate (UG) program in ODL mode. The university offers only 1 program at undergraduate level, which is the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). Students can take direct admission into this UG course without appearing for any entrance examination. To pursue the B.Com course in ODL mode, students need to have passed their higher secondary examination (10+2) with Commerce, Science or Vocational stream from a recognized board. The university also required students to pass at least 4 subjects with English as the core subject. The fee range of this program is INR 5,200  for Gen./SC/ST/OBC and INR 2,600 for AAY/BPL per semester. 

NBU Distance Education PG Admission 2026 

North Bengal University, CDOE offers 7 Master’s degree specializations including Philosophy, English,Mathematics, Bengali and many more. NBU Distance Education is currently accepting applications for the 2026-27 academic year. Students with a Bachelor’s degree in any respective discipline from a UGC accredited university can apply for these PG programmes. Entrance exams are not conducted by the university and students get selected on merit based. An average fee range of a PG course is INR 6,400 per semester. The university also provides relaxation to the students belonging to the AAY/BPL category.

NBU Distance Education Admission Process

North Bengal University Distance Education has already opened their admission window for its all UG and PG programmes. Students who are going to take admission in NBU CDOE are required to create their ABC ID & DEB ID, these IDs are very important to take admission. During this online application process, you have to pay INR 100 as application fee. Follow the mentioned instructions to complete the registration form. 

Step 1: Go to the official admission portal of NBU CDOE.

Step 2: Find the relevant admission link at Notice section. 

Step 3: Register with your name, phone number, mail ID, DOB and DEB ID. You also find a password section, create a password for next time log in. 

Step 4: User your mail ID and password to log in back at the portal. 

Step 5: Fill out other required information such as personal, contact and educational information. 

Step 6: Upload the necessary documents at the portal including scanned signature, certificate and photos. 

Step 7: Before paying the application fee, check the entire application form carefully. 

Step 8: Pay the application fee of INR 100 using UPI, Debit Card or Credit Card. 

Step 9: After some days, you will get a confirmation notification from the university.
