Bharathiar University distance education has initiated its admission process for all the UG and PG programmes, including diploma and certificate courses. Ensure that you are eligible for the courses that you are opting for. Fill out the form online, upload documents, pay a fee of around INR 150, and submit the documents before the deadline of February 15th, 2026. Bharathiar University Distance Education UG Admission
Bharathiar University distance education is accepting applications for undergraduate degree courses like BA, BCOM and BBA. They are offered for a course length of 3 years and 6 semesters. Applicants must have completed their 10+2 examination or equivalent or a diploma in a related subject form recognised abroad to become eligible for admission. Students will be selected based on their previous academic performance. UG course fee at Bharathiar University distance education will vary around INR 9,230/- per semester. Bharathiar University Distance Education PG Admission
Registration has already started for the postgraduate program in ODL mode for the academic session 2026. Programs open for admission are MA, MCOM, MSC, MCA, MSW, MBA, etc., in many specializations. These courses are provided for the academic duration of 2 years with 4 semesters. Students have to graduate with a 3-year bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent from a recognized university to become eligible for admission.
There is no entrance exam; the selection of the applicant is merit-based through their performance in the qualifying examination. Bharathiar University distance education charges semester wise course fee of around INR 7,930/- to INR 16,380/-. All the PG courses will be provided in a semester pattern.
Eligibility Criteria for BU SDE Admission
Undergraduate program
- Applicants who have completed their 11 + 1 / 10 + 2 / 10 + 3 are eligible to apply to any UG program.
- Individuals who have passed their 10th standard and have a diploma degree can also apply.
- No lower age limit.
Postgraduate program
- Students who have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline or a related field can apply for the desired course.
- Must have secured at least 50% to 55% mark in the qualifying examination.
- No upper age limit.
How To Apply For Bharathiar University Distance Education Admission
Bharathiar University Distance Education will process its admission online for all the ODL programs. Before initiating the admission process, applicants have to create their ABC ID and DEB ID. The admission procedure includes the following steps.
- Read all the instructions carefully and tick the box to proceed.
- Select your desired course.
- OTP will be sent to your email ID and mobile number for verification purposes.
- Enter educational qualification address, eligibility criteria, and personal data.
- Upload all the scan copies of the original document in mention size and format.
- Preview all the details and submit the application form.
- Now pay the registration fee of INR 150/- online via GPAY, PayTM, UPI, Net banking, Credit/Debit(ATM) card, etc.
- After evaluation, the university will confirm your application via sms.
- Then log in again and pay the course fee. Payment of the course fee has to be made within the stipulated time; otherwise, your application will be rejected.
- Afterwards, log in and download the Admission cum ID card. Only then will the admission be automatically activated.
- Log in to check your application status, and the subject coordinator will contact your further details.

Applicants have to scan all the original documents in PDF format within 1 MB maximum and upload them during the form-filling process.
