Mangalore University Distance Education Admission 2026: Mangalore University distance education offers admission to various UGa nd PG courses such as MA, BA, MCOM, BCOM, BED, etc. The registration fee will be INR 1000/- for all the programmes. Students pursuing any UG or PG course will have to fill out the admission form uploaded on the university website. Applicants have to read the prospectus before proceeding to avoid any mistakes. Students have to pay the application fee to the Funds of Mangalore University via challans/DD or through a DD of any Nationalised Banks mentioned. Students have to pay all the fees in one instalment and keep a photocopy of the challan. Students must ensure to check their eligibility, as applications for eligible students will be rejected. The fee, once submitted, will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Students have to submit the duly-filled application to the university by post or in person. They have to carry the original document along with the photocopies for verification purposes. Students have to bring passport-sized photocopies with their name, course, and the serial number of the application form written on the back. Final confirmation will be done after receiving approval from the university, till then all the admissions will be considered provisional.
Mangalore University Distance Education UG Admission
MU distance education offers admission to courses like BA, BCOM, and BBA at the UG level. These programs are available in open and distance learning mode for a course period of 3 years and 6 semesters. Admission is given to individuals who have completed their 10+2 standard examination or equivalent from a reputed board.
English and Hindi will be used for instruction; however, students can write their examination in the desired medium. There are no minimum age requirements or entrance exams for UG courses. The course fee will range from INR 5000/- to INR 6000/- per year. Payment of the fee will be made via a challan at any bank mentioned by the university.
Mangalore University Distance Education PG Admission
Mangalore University provides admission to PG courses like MCOM, MA, and MBA available in ODL mode. These programs are offered for a time span of 2 years with 4 semesters. Postgraduate courses will be delivered in English medium, but students have the provision to write their exam in Kannada. To be eligible for admission, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline with minimum required marks from a recognised university.
The annual course fee will be around INR 10,000/- for PG courses. The examination fee for PG courses per subject is around INR 300/-. There is no upper age limit or entrance exam for any PG course at Mangalore University Distance Education.
Mangalore University Distance Education Eligibility Requirements
Students applying to any UG or Pg program at Mangalore University Distance Education need to hold the following qualifications.
Undergraduate program
- Passed the two-year Pre-University examination from any educational board recognised by the State of Karnataka.
- Anyone who has passed with any Diploma (10+3)/I.T.I (10+2) courses or any other equivalent examination may also apply.

Postgraduate program
- Pass with a bachelor degree in any discipline or equivalent.

How To Apply for Mangalore University Distance Education Admission
Students have to fill out their application form and submit it to the university along with the documents. There are two ways of submitting the application form. Let us look at them in more detail.

- Students have to fill out the application form.
- Bring them to their respective Regional Centres of the Directorate.
- Attach the original marksheet and certificates.
- Pay the application fee via bank challan and submit the photo copy.
- Watch stamp size photographs for the application.

- Students submitting their application and documents by registered post must do so promptly, so that it reaches the office before the due date.

- Original and self-attested copies of the documents have to be submitted.
- After verification, the original documents will be returned to the students.
